
Skanska has signed a US$160m contract to construct the underground Skøyen metro station in Oslo, Norway.
Positioned 45m beneath floor, the 2 observe station will serve the Fornebubanen metro line, with an entry level on both facet of Hoff avenue
Skanska’s scope of labor consists of technical installations reminiscent of air flow, electrics, elevators and escalators, concrete works, shafts, outside areas, entry buildings, finalisation works in pre-excavated tunnels, and extra works to be carried out at Madserud, Bestum and within the tunnel in direction of Majorstuen.
Skøyen is one among Oslo’s busiest public transport hubs, with the brand new station rising the metro’s capability and connectivity between prepare and bus companies.
Skanska says that the challenge will highlight power effectivity.
Development on the station is because of start in September 2025 and to be accomplished in 2029.
