
French building equipment maker Manitou Group has acquired your entire robotics division of French specialist engineering firm Sitia, saying it needs to ascertain robotics as “a salient pillar of innovation”.
A staff of seven, together with doctoral candidates and engineers, will combine into Manitou Group’s analysis and growth operation.
The staff had earlier created an autonomous farm tractor referred to as “Trektor”.
The mental property of Sitia’s robotics division is now Manitou’s.
Manitou mentioned it’s placing robotics “on the nucleus” of its forthcoming developments and can set up a brand new “Manitou Group Robotics” division this 12 months.
