Man killed after falling 19 floors

A 20-year-old man has died after falling from the 19th ground of a tower reported to be below building in Atlanta, Georgia.

Atlanta police mentioned they responded to a report of an unresponsive male at 327 Mitchell Road SW at round 10.45am on Thursday, 20 March.

“Upon arrival, officers situated a 20-year-old male who appeared to have fallen from the nineteenth ground of the property,” their assertion mentioned.

“The male was not alert, aware, or respiratory, and was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.”

Police mentioned the preliminary investigation signifies no indicators of foul play.

Native TV station Fox 5 reported {that a} new residential growth referred to as “The Mitchell”, a part of the Centennial Yards undertaking, is at the moment below building on the tackle.

On its web site describing the Centennial Yards scheme, developer CIM mentioned it broke floor on two 19-storey towers in November 2022.

One is a 304-unit house constructing and the opposite is the 292-key Resort Phoenix, each scheduled for completion in 2025.

CIM has been contacted for remark.

Police mentioned the investigation is ongoing.
