MYCON General Contractors, a commercial construction services firm, has hired Terry Hellmich as its new director of preconstruction.

With more than 26 years of industry experience, Hellmich will lead MYCON’s preconstruction efforts, ensuring strategic planning, cost management, and seamless project execution for clients across multiple sectors.

“We are excited to welcome Terry to the MYCON team,” says Jacob Wadlington, vice president of business development at MYCON. “His extensive experience in preconstruction services, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to delivering value-driven solutions will strengthen our ability to serve our clients effectively and drive continued success.”

In his new role, Hellmich will oversee early-stage project planning, budgeting, value engineering, and collaboration with key stakeholders to optimize project outcomes. His expertise in estimating, risk management, and constructability analysis will “further enhance MYCON’s ability to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs,” a company press release states.

During his career, Hellmich has held various construction roles, including project executive, director of estimating, and director of preconstruction. He has successfully led preconstruction teams and contributed to the successful execution of major retail, industrial, medical, and institutional projects.

“I am thrilled to join MYCON and be part of a company known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and client service,” said Hellmich. “I look forward to working with this talented team to enhance our preconstruction services and contribute to the company’s continued success.”
